Holland America is launching new ships these days at a frantic pace - and PanamaCruiseTour applauds the company's bullishness. Hey, it's a big ocean out there. Plenty of room for more ships.

The Rotterdam, and its just-unvieled sister ship Amsterdam, are the high-end flagships of the Holland America fleet. Meanwhile, the Volendam and Zaandam are sister ships in a less sedate vein; the interior design motif on the first ship is "flowers," on the second, "music." (Incidentally, PanamaCruiseTour can report that Holland America has not gone overboard with these themes, i.e., you need not worry about sailing aboard some pink-and-pastel "Flower Ship" when cruising on the Volendam.)
